“Accessible public toilet facilities to promote dignity, health and
social inclusion.”
At the 2026 NFWI Annual Meeting members voted for accessible public toilet facilities.
This resolution calls for accessible, clean, and free public toilets to improve dignity, health, and social inclusion, particularly for women, older people, disabled individuals, parents, and carers . It urges WI branches to take action through advocacy, partnership, and community engagement to reverse the trend of public toilet closures and ensure access for all.

"Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers"
At the 2025 NFWI Annual Meeting on 4th June, WI members voted in favour of the "Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers" resolution.
This resolution calls on WI members to work together to increase public confidence and training in the delivery of CPR and to collaborate with local organisations to improve access to defibrillators in their communities.
There are over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests a year in the UK, and less than one in ten people survive. Women have a lower chance of surviving than men so awareness of this crucial procedure is vital.
The West Chiltington WI organised a training session to educate members in the use of CPR and encouraged members to step forward in an emergency.
