Minibus outing to Nymans House and Gardens.

We will be leaving WCVH at 9.30am and return by 4.30pm.

There is free entry for National Trust and RHS members (main cardholders only). 

The cost of the mini bus depends on the number of passengers.

House:

A convincing creation of a medieval manor house remodelled in the 1920s and now a partial ruin.

Woods:

Ancient  woodlands with an industrial past featuring a lake and cascades.

Cafe:

There is a cafe near the entrance serving a range of refreshments with indoor and outdoor

seating.  The Riding House cafe is set in the heart of the garden.

Garden:

This is Grade II Listed with rare and unusual plant collections and views across the Sussex Weald.

Friday 15th May

Minibus outing to Jane Austen's House and Chawton Village.

​

It was her final home and it was where Jane wrote and revised her six beloved novels.  There is also much to discover throughout the Village of Chawton which includes beautiful parkland, Chawton House, which belonged to Jane Austen's brother, St Nicholas Church where the graves of Jane Austen's mother and sister are located, as well as a statue of Jane Austen. There are walks and trails around the Village and surrounding area.

Friday 16th October

Minibus outing to tour backstage at the Chichester Festival Theatre, 

or you can self-drive and join us there.

 

The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes. 

Most areas are accessible and there is seating available.

Coffee and pastries, light lunches and sandwiches are available from the cafe.

​Please note, we need at least 10 people for each trip to make the minibus hire viable.

We would like bookings to be confirmed and the bus fare paid at the WI meeting prior to the trip.
