A warm welcome to new members
It is a great pleasure to serve as the President of the West Chiltington WI. Our membership consists of diverse and unique women, who are guided by our core values of friendship, support and education.
As part of our Harvest Lunch celebration in September 2023 the members donated food and toiletries to The Wholesome Food Warehouse in Storrington. There are many in our community still struggling to cope in the present financial climate and it was felt, as a group, that we would like to do something to help.
For the last few years our fund raising and charity work has been directed towards “Safe in Sussex" a women’s refuge providing help and support for people affected by domestic abuse in West Sussex. We have provided them with Christmas gifts of perfume and other beauty products, colouring books, crayons, pencils and canvasses.
Our monthly meetings are an opportunity to meet friends, old and new, exchange ideas and satisfy an enquiring mind with the varied nature of our speakers.
